A weekly payment and an annual payment are hard to compare by their labels alone. Converting both to an annual amount gives them the same unit. It does not predict their exact billing dates or guarantee that their prices stay unchanged.

Compare three fictional payments

Imagine a $10 monthly service, a $120 annual membership and a $5 weekly payment. Using twelve monthly payments and fifty-two weekly payments per modeled year, their annual costs are $120, $120 and $260.

Together they total $500 annually, an average of $41.67 per month. At unchanged prices, five modeled years cost $2,500. The monthly average is rounded for display; multiplying $41.67 by twelve gives $500.04, which is why the annual total remains the authoritative figure.

The smaller-looking $5 weekly price has the largest annual cost in this example. Frequency changes the comparison.

Make a removal comparison

In the subscription cost calculator, select an item for removal and open the comparison. The original total stays visible. Selecting an item here does not contact the provider or cancel anything.

If the $120 annual membership is removed from this example, the remaining annual estimate is $380. The average freed amount is $10 a month. That money only becomes saving if someone actually chooses to set it aside; the calculator does not automatically transform it into an investment return.

Check the real agreement

The Federal Trade Commission’s subscription guidance discusses trial terms, recurring charges and cancellation records. An introductory price may differ from the renewal price. The calculator cannot know those terms from an amount alone.

Use generic labels or short names that help you recognize an item. Labels stay as text in the browser and are saved only if you explicitly choose device saving. A shared tool link does not include them. If you want to picture a separate use for money you decide to save, try the savings goal calculator.
