Calculator inputs are processed in your browser. Google Analytics runs only if you allow it.
Calculator inputs and links
Calculations run in the browser. Our calculation code does not send entered amounts, subscription labels or goal names to an application endpoint or as custom analytics events. Ordinary calculation does not require saving a scenario. Personal numbers are not put in tool links, page titles or social metadata.
Copy tool link copies the page address without query strings or fragments. It does not include your scenario. Please avoid account identifiers or sensitive personal details in optional labels.
Optional device saving
Choosing Save current stores a versioned scenario, including its currency, in this browser’s local storage. Older saved scenarios are identified as USD. Other people who use the same browser profile may be able to see it. Saving is optional and is not enabled merely by using a calculator.
Load saved reads that scenario only when selected. Delete saved removes that calculator’s saved scenario. Clearing site data in the browser also removes it. If storage is unavailable, the calculator continues to work.
Display preferences
Remember these display settings saves only currency, number style and the dual-display choice in local storage. It does not save amounts or labels. Forget saved display settings removes that device preference record without deleting saved scenarios or changing your numbers.
The header also keeps only currency, number style and dual-display choices in tab session storage so they follow you between pages and reloads. Normal display preferences contain no financial amounts or labels. Session storage normally ends with the tab; browser session restoration may retain it.
PDF downloads and recovery
Savings tracker PDFs are generated in your browser. Downloaded files are saved through your browser and may contain the scenario and goal label you entered. Manage or delete those files using your device’s file controls.
If PDF download tools fail to load, choosing Reload and keep my numbers temporarily puts that calculator scenario, currency and PDF options in tab session storage. The recovery copy is removed on the next calculator load and is not used after ten minutes. This recovery is optional, sends no numbers in URLs and does not create a persistent device save.
Your analytics choice
Google Analytics is optional. Its script is not loaded and this integration sends no requests to Google before you allow analytics. You can keep using the calculators if you decline. Use Analytics choices in the footer to allow, decline or withdraw permission without deleting your saved calculator scenarios or display preferences.
Your choice is stored on this device with an expiry of 180 days. If browser storage cannot retain a declined choice, a separate opt-out cookie can remember it. Withdrawing permission does not erase information already received by Google. Clearing site data can remove the saved choice as well as other browser data for this site.
What optional analytics receives
After you allow analytics, your browser contacts Google to help us understand page visits, sessions and engagement. Google receives network information, including your IP address, along with browser/device information and analytics metadata about pages you visit. Analytics cookies can distinguish visits. The site configures these cookies for this host only, with an expiry of 180 days; this cookie setting is not a statement about how long Google retains data on its servers.
The page address supplied to analytics uses the canonical site address and page path, without query strings or fragments. The referring address supplied is limited to its origin, without its path, query string or fragment. The analytics tag is not loaded on page addresses containing a query string or fragment.
The site does not connect calculator actions to a custom analytics event provider. Entered amounts, goal names and subscription labels are not sent as our custom analytics events. Google Analytics also has built-in collection behavior and account-level controls. Enhanced Measurement and account retention settings have not been independently verified, so this page does not promise a complete event list or a fixed server-side retention period.
Advertising remains disabled. The site sends denied advertising-consent settings and disables Google signals and advertising personalization in its tag configuration. These settings do not make analytics anonymous or establish legal compliance. Google describes its own handling of information in the linked policies.
How Google uses information from sites and apps that use its services
Hosting and other services
No advertising, session replay, external fonts, contact form or bank connection is enabled. Optional Google Analytics is the separate service described above.
Picture Your Money is hosted on Cloudflare. Cloudflare processes network information, including IP addresses and request metadata, to deliver and protect the website. Cloudflare Web Analytics is disabled. Calculator amounts and goal names are processed in your browser; they are not submitted to the host by the calculators. Consult Cloudflare’s privacy policy for its description of hosting-related data processing.
Links to other websites open services with their own privacy practices. The site does not publish an operator identity and currently has no public contact channel for privacy questions.
Changes to these practices
This page describes the current website and its optional analytics integration. Adding advertising, accounts or other data collection, or changing analytics practices, would require an updated description of those practices.
